What Is Postback Tracking?
· 3 min read
Server-to-server postback tracking explained, and why it is more reliable than pixels.
Definition
A postback is a server-to-server call the advertiser makes to the network when a conversion happens. It includes the click ID and often the event type and payout.
Why it is reliable
- Works without browser cookies
- Not blocked by ad blockers
- Can be sent after delayed validation, such as KYC approval
- Supports multiple events per user
